TOP

With our TOP-machine series we are offering you automation on a completely different level: on top. As additional units we are building our plastification units in a width of just 156 mm and are taking on screws of up to 28 mm. With a stroke of 70 mm this results in a shot volume of 43 cm³.
 
In this way you can reconstruct every standard injection moulding machine in a multi-component machine. We have already built up to four units in-line. Look at your toothbrush for example – the TPE on the handle has probably been injection-moulded by an Exma Top 4 unit.

The compact design is also suitable for other applications. Our TOP 4 C machine has: a fully hydraulic c-frame machine with one or two moving platens, an overall width of 166mm and a clamping force of 220 kN. Other clamping forces with a little larger machine width are possible.

No matter how many machines or plasification units you are using: the units are operated from a control panel, with all the possibilities to copy parameters, and save and retrieve them globally or discretely.

The hydraulic unit is consolidated and can be placed anywhere you like (ideal for cleanroom applications). The plastification units can be attached up to six metres above the pump.

  • TOP 4 C

The TOP 4 represents the ideal solution for multi-component tasks. Due to their compact size our plastification units can be flange-mounted directly to your tool. For service and assembly the units are mounted on a sliding carriage which is connected to the machine. The hydraulic service stroke turns the assembly and disassembly into a quick process.
 
The overall width of each plastification unit adds up to 156 mm. You can mount as many units as you like in any distance of at least 156 mm. Due to their low height the units can either be attached vertically on top of the tool or on the side of it. The construction of your multi-component tool couldn’t be easier.

The hydraulic units are installed on a shared frame. They are arranged in such a way that they can be positioned e.g. under the machine frame of a 7500 kN Engel. The control panel can be attached to the base machine as required. The operation is realised graphically, all of the units are visible on the display, and process data is clearly arranged.

A special advantage: we attach the system to your machine, connect the additional units to your base machine and start running your system with you.

The TOP-systems can be attached to any machine by any manufacturer.

Our small machine with only 160 mm overall width (external control panel and hydraulic unit) fits anywhere.
 
Several machines of this type can be installed on one servo axle in order to injection-mold spouts to the different positions of ABS senso cables in a fully flexible way. The positions of the machine are fixed in the formula of the particular cable. The machines are producing four cables each with up to eight spouts, cut, dismantled and printed in a total cycle time of 38 seconds.
